A Summer of Love
27 July 2006

It has been another couple of busy months at Hyper-Typer Web Development since we published our last news item so we thought we should catch you up on developments.

We have been experiencing a veritable 'summer of love' with the establishment of our new relationship with 2 The Top Media Ltd as we have taken over the maintenance and future development of Perhaps More. This dating and social networking site boasts around 6,000 active members currently and plans are afoot to extend the range of services the site offers substantially.

This week saw the launch of Milligan Place, which details a substantial new student and self catering accommodation complex right in the heart of Sligo City. The complex should prove a welcome alternative to Sligo IT and St Angela's College students and will also provide an ideal base for tourists visiting the Yeats Country in summer 2007. The developers, Milligan Place Accommodation, see the Internet as their primary marketing tool and even though the site has just launched we already have achieved quite a respectable Internet presence in the area of Sligo student accommodation with a plan in place to roll out a similar marketing campaign for the summer 2007 season in the coming months.

Those involved in the manufacturing sector may be interested to know that our longtime client IRDG has just published two free guides to R&D grant funding, one aimed at Irish-owned companies and the other at foreign-owned concerns. They are also now offering two case studies for free download from their site at www.irdg.ie detailing their work with Mentec International and Medtronic.

Work is nearing completion on the Green Pastures Donegal site we mentioned in our previous news item and we will have more details on this in our next news item.

Finally for now, we have been receiving quite a few enquiries relating to our O2 Web Texter application since O2 Ireland upgraded their website. Rest assured it is high on our to-do list (for our own use as much as anyone else's) and we hope to integrate it with the new O2 site in the next couple of weeks. The good news on this front is that the upgrade will not necessitate the downloading of any new version of the software to our current users' machines. We will of course make an announcement here when that work is complete.
